Sarah joined SIB as our Director of Finance and Operations in November 2019 having moved into the Charity and Not for Profit Sector 7 years ago in roles focused on bringing together people and teams, technology and process within a frame of transparent governance and sustainability.
Prior to joining SIB, Sarah was part of the Senior Management Team at Cochrane - a global independent network of researchers, professionals, patients, carers, and people interested in health. During her 4 years with Cochrane she supported a demanding period of organizational change management within Cochrane’s 150 groups around the world and the Central Executive Team (taking the headcount from 30 to 100 employees) and building reserves to over £7m to ensure future activities.
Sarah's earlier career experience includes SME’s and start ups across a number of sectors including Medical Devices and Products; Renewable Energy and Bio-Remediation; Cosmetics and Advertising. She is the former Chair of Trustees for Medical Aid Films, who use innovative media to transform the health and wellbeing of women and children around the world, and a current Mentor for the Cherie Blair Women in Business Programme – a network set-up to provide women with the capability, confidence and capital to achieve and is currently working with a footwear entrepreneur in Kenya.
