Social Investment Business has appointed three new board members and a new Director of Finance and Operations to strengthen its governance and leadership team.
Amina Ahmad joins the SIB Ltd Board as a non-executive director, and Robert Hewitt and Sonali Siriwardena join the SIB Foundation Board as trustees.
Sarah Watson is joining the senior leadership team at SIB as the new Director of Finance and Operations.
Amina Ahmad is a digital operations and product consultant. She spent 9 years at Lloyds Banking Group, latterly as FinTech Partnerships Lead, and more recently helped establish the world’s largest fintech ecosystem, Rise, in partnership with Barclays Bank. Amina is also a trustee of Gingerbread, the charity for single parent families.
Robert Hewitt currently works in Government as Deputy Director of Strategy, Governance & Performance at Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. Before government, he worked in investment at a range of firms including Credit Suisse & UBS. He is also a trustee of the Funding Network, and Chair of Governors at Harris Academy.
Sonali Siriwardena is currently an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley, where she advises clients on structuring and managing investment funds; she is also co-chair of the Women’s Business Alliance, the largest diversity network in the firm. Sonali has a legal background, and previously worked at Barclays Capital and White & Case.
Sarah Watson has worked in finance at a variety of organisations, most recently at non-profit the Cochrane Collaboration, and previously at the Royal London Society for Blind People.
