Nick Temple, Social Investment Business Chief Executive Officer, has received an OBE for his commitment to the social enterprise sector, as part of the King’s Birthday Honours list.
OBEs are awarded to recognise people’s achievements and service to the country across a range of areas, including those who have made a marked contribution to civil society.
Sonali Siriwardena, Chair of Social Investment Business’ Board commented:
“This is a testament to Nick Temple’s valuable contribution to social enterprise in a career dedicated to the social economy. His exemplary leadership at Social Investment Business has been a key ingredient to SIB’s success and the entire SIB family celebrate this worthy recognition.”
Reacting to the news of receiving an OBE, Nick said:
“I’m really delighted and thankful to be recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours List. I think that recognition is primarily on behalf of all the enterprises and teams I’ve been privileged to work with – and it’s wonderful to see many partners and peers honoured in a similar way.”
A former SIB investee and current Investment Committee member, Michelle Charters, has also received the same award, whereas long-time SIB customer, Lisa Hilder, has received an MBE.
